I’ve been an official SCOTT ambassador for a few months now, and with the SCOTT Addict RC Pro I didn’t just get a bike - I found my favorite ride. First things first: I’m never giving it up. Honestly, this bike might just be the one I retire with. 😄
Faster than expected — and here to stay
At the start of the year, my dream Addict RC Pro build wasn’t available. No clue when it’d arrive. Then suddenly in April, everything happened fast - faster than I expected, it was already on its way to Switzerland and to me. Perfect timing, since the very next day I was off to Girona, Spain - the perfect playground to really put the Addict to the test.
Quick tweaks and straight to the road
Just before heading out, I shortened the stem, swapped the saddle and crank — and then the Addict was ready to roll. I hadn’t even ridden it once before the trip, so yeah, I was a bit nervous. But from the very first ride, I knew: this bike is a perfect fit.
A ride that just clicks
What truly blew me away? The ride quality. The Addict RC Pro is insanely smooth and stable - even when bombing downhill, it feels totally composed and confident. That kind of trust while rolling is pure joy and lets you truly enjoy every moment on the bike. The 6.5 kg weight is a nice bonus - it’s noticeably lighter than my previous racebike - but if you know me, handling and smoothness always come first.
Some warned me the Small frame could feel twitchy, especially since at 173 cm I’d normally should go for a Medium. But I picked Small intentionally - I’ve got a short torso and a shoulder surgery means some limits - and it was absolutely the right call. The Addict feels planted, precise, and gives me total control on fast descents and tight corners. The saddle drop I run? I barely notice it, even after long days in the saddle.

Tech Specs: Top-Tier from frame to pedals
Frame: At the heart is the SCOTT Addict RC Pro frame, made from HMX Carbon — one of SCOTT’s lightest yet stiffest carbon fibers. Weighing in at just 820 grams, it’s a benchmark in the race bike world. The geometry strikes a perfect balance: aggressive enough for racing, yet comfortable for long rides. Internal cable routing keeps everything sleek. I ride it in Cumulus White / Carbon Black - a killer color combo if you ask me. Cumulus White / Carbon Black, die ich mehr als gelungen finde.
Fork: The Addict RC fork, also HMX Carbon, is tuned for the ideal mix of stiffness and compliance - boosting confident handling and smooth rolling.
Wheels: I swapped the original Syncros Capital 1.0S wheels for Syncros Capital SL 40 mm - a full-carbon, one-piece wheelset that’s stiff, aerodynamic with its 40 mm profile and tubeless-ready. The wider rims enhance tire performance, giving a serious boost in speed and agility. I run 30 mm Schwalbe Pro One tires on them, which fit perfect.
Groupset: Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 12-fach - lightning-fast, precise shifts, reliable and low maintenance. The 12-speed cassette offers a wide gear range, perfect for crushing mountain climbs and blasting flats alike.
Power Meter: The built-in Shimano Dura-Ace power meter feeds me the data I geek out on - numbers I can trust and love.

Components
- Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Boost 3D Kit Carbon Superflow — a lightweight carbon saddle with a cutout that delivers maximum pressure relief. It’s my absolute favorite, striking a perfect balance between comfort and performance.
- Stem & Handlebar: SYNCROS IC-R100-SL — a one piece, 380 mm wide carbon cockpit with a 100 mm stem. The bar is lightweight, aerodynamic, and ergonomically shaped for comfort on long rides.
- Seatpost: Syncros SP-R100-SL — also carbon, conical design for maximum stiffness with smooth vibration dampening. It lets me dial in the saddle position with precision for all-day comfort.
- Pedals: Shimano Dura-Ace — renowned for top-notch power transfer and a rock-solid connection to my shoes. Light, durable, and built to last.
Switzerland, Italy, France and Spain? Already checked off. And of course, that’s just the beginning of the miles and adventures still ahead.

Wow, now I think about a Scott Addict 😀
